Description
|
One of the new features in Kylix is the ability to define your own custom Variant type. The Rational Custom Variant has two examples to show you how this works. Both store rational numbers (fractions), and perform all the usual arithmetic operations, including mixed-mode operations with integers and floating point numbers. One example uses a 32-bit numerator and denominator. The other is more complicated and uses Int64 for the numerator and denominator, which requires additional memory management. Both examples are included to highlight the two ways of storing data in a variant data record.
