Description
Now you can instantly add a "Compare Files" (also known as a diff for you Unix people) and/or a "Compare Directories" feature to your application! With CompareFilesX it's as easy dropping an ActiveX component onto your form.

CompareFilesX (CFX) is an ActiveX component designed to assist developers to quickly add a file and directory comparator utility to their end products. The comparing of text files is encountered often in all areas of software programming and data management applications. A key feature of this OCX is that it runs on a separate thread allowing the end users application to continue functioning in a responsive manner.

CFX encapsulates all the details required for quick integration. For example, many compare parameters are persistent across running of the end users application automatically. Furthermore, the demonstration source code can easily be cut and pasted into your own application.

FEATURES:

* A key feature of this OCX is that it runs on a separate thread allowing the end users application to continue functioning in a responsive manner. Thread priority can be set from IDLE to TIME CRITICAL.

* The code required to integrate this component in an application is very small.

* Many search parameters are persistent across running of the end users application automatically. This means that the compare criteria remains intact across runs of the end user’s application. Persistent items include:

i) DirShowOnlyInMaster , DirShowOnlyInSource ,DirShowSameInBothPlaces , DirShowDifferentInBothPlaces , DirDoSubDirectories , DirSource , DirMaster , DirFileTypes

ii) FileIgnoreCase , FileIgnoreWhiteSpace , FileIgnoreEmptyLines , FileQuickCompare , FileSource , FileMaster
