Description
AutoPlay Menu Studio 3.0 is a visual development tool for creating multimedia CD-ROM AutoPlay/AutoRun systems for Windows 95/98/ME, NT and 2000. It is designed for corporate and ISV software developers, electronic content providers, network administrators or anyone using CD-R, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM as a distribution medium.

AutoPlay Menu Studio provides developers with a visual environment for creating fully interactive user interfaces for their CD-ROM based products. By taking full advantage of the AutoPlay/AutoRun feature available on all Win32 systems, these menus appear automatically when the disc is inserted. Since there’s no need to manually browse the CD or access the contents using Start > Run, the CD-ROM is easier to use, more attractive, and requires fewer support inquiries.

Thanks to AutoPlay Menu Studio’s WYSIWYG, drag and drop interface, anyone can create professional CD-ROM front ends. Start with a project template and customize it from there. By assigning actions to various events, you can easily execute installation programs, start presentations, jump to web sites, play video and music, send email, and more.

In addition to the enhanced visual development environment, this new release features internal MP3 audio playback, embedded video objects, scrolling text boxes, splash and credit screens, full screen mode, 1000 page menus, automatic 8/24 bit color matching, multiple actions per event, file searching, project preview, virtual CD-ROM and much more.

AutoPlay Menu Studio 3.0
Don’t Burn Without It

Trusted by thousands of companies worldwide, AutoPlay Menu Studio is the quickest and easiest way to create professional AutoPlay/AutoRun menus for your CD-ROMs. You’ve likely seen our runtime in action on CDs created by some of the world’s largest companies – but it’s easy enough to be used by companies of any size. It’s the de facto standard for building professional CD-R, CD-ROM and DVD-ROM front ends.

New Features in AutoPlay Menu Studio 3.0

Visual Development Environment
The customizable development environment features a WYSIWYG, drag and drop interface. Tabbed pages, alignment and ordering tools, undo/redo, property sheets, pick lists, context menus and clipboard support are included. New productivity features, such as snap to grid, nudge, customizable toolbars, object browser, scrollable work area, and assignable keyboard shortcuts, make it easier than ever to rapidly create professional projects.

Interactive Objects
It’s easy to add interactivity to your projects. Just drop an “object” onto a page and you’re ready to go. Choose from bitmap images with rollovers, multi-line text, embedded AVI video, hyperlink areas with pane flipping, scrollable text boxes, and more.

MP3 Audio
Add a little spice to your projects with the internal MP3 audio support. With features like automatic looping, play, pause and stop, you’re sure to add a new dimension to your projects.

Runtime Events
You can now choose from a variety of new runtime events, such as Mouse Over and Mouse Leave. Add flexible actions to those events to create powerful and interactive projects. Other events include Mouse Click, Page Open, Page Close, Project Startup and Project Shutdown.

Flexible Actions
By assigning one or more actions to an event, you can add a surprising amount of functionality and interactivity to your project. With the many new actions added to this release, you’ll be surprised at what you can accomplish. From standards like Execute Program and Open Document, to powerful new actions like Hide Object and Search for File. Other actions include Read from Registry, Write to Registry, Yes/No Dialog, Input Dialog and many more.

Enhanced Runtime
Make use of up to 1000 pages per project - A dramatic increase from previous versions. Other new runtime features include timed splash and credits screens, full screen mode, object tooltips, keyboard support and substantially more built-in variables.

Usability Features
You can easily import and convert your v2.0 projects. The project preview feature and pre-build validation checks make it easier than ever to test your project. Additionally, the new archive feature simplifies the management of team projects, collection of media assets and online transfer using the standard ZIP format.

Advanced Color Management
Improved image processing algorithms like Through Space Distance (TSD) color reduction ensures the highest possible graphics quality on all systems. This automatic 8/24 bit color processing ensures that your project will look almost as good on 256 color systems as it does on 16.7 million color systems. Additionally, object transparency has been vastly simplified for all display adapters. Less work – better results!

Virtual CD-ROM
The new Virtual CD-ROM feature makes it easy to specify runtime file locations at design time. A huge improvement over previous versions, the Virtual CD-ROM helps you organize your project files and integrate them into your CD-ROM project.

Template Gallery
The improved Template Gallery features improved sample projects. With superior graphics and more advanced features, you’ll find the Template Gallery a perfect place to start your new project. Advanced Features

Variables
The internal variable manager gives you unprecedented flexibility. Variables can be set from registry values, INI files, user input dialogs, file searches, system settings and more. These variables can then be used wherever normal text would be found or as Boolean conditions. More internal variables, like QuickTime version, are also included.

Conditions
You can now attach conditions to any action. If a condition is not met, the action will not be performed. This gives you nearly unlimited flexibility. Set conditions by clicking check boxes and selecting from drop down lists. Conditions include Operating System, Language, and advanced Boolean conditions based on variables, registry state and file locations.

Multilingual Support
AutoPlay Menu Studio 3.0 features built-in support for every primary language supported by Windows. You’re able to set different startup pages for up to 70 languages – all from within a single project. While other tools assume only English users, AutoPlay Menu Studio makes it easy to create truly international projects.

Security Options
New security features let you assign multiple serial number and password lists to each project. You can even import, export or generate passwords based on sequential or random masks. Throw in some expiration date checking and you’ll be able to better control access to your projects.
