Description
This library was created in order to provide some features that were missing in the original TPrinter class from Delphi, such as the ability to easily read and write properties like Bin, Paper, and to control the exact placement of the printout (with reference to the physical margin of the printed paper). If you are happy with the standard Delphi Printers unit, then all this probably doesn't mean anything to you. With this library, you can: - Freely create and destroy printer objects; work on more than one printer at the same time; - Read and write Device, Bin, Paper, and Resolution properties; - Have fine control over physical dimensions and offsets with PaperSize, PaperSizeOriented, PhysicalOffset, PhysicalSize, PageRect and ClientRect; - Call DocumentProperties to access other useful settings for the document being printed, not available in TPrinter; - Pass an optional parameter to StartDoc to direct the printout to a file; - Create compatible canvases with CreateCompatibleCanvas, useful for formatting and print preview processes. The package comes with full source code (almost 2000 lines). For more information, and for download, see our page at: http://www.logicomm.it/en/libzprinters.html (in english) http://www.logicomm.it/libzprinters.html (in italian) We do also provide anonymous ftp at ftp.logicomm.it
