Description
Simple RSS is a delphi AND kylix compatible component that allows the importing and exporting of RSS feeds into your application. Simple RSS is fully RSS 2.0 compatible (and thus backwards compatible with RSS 0.9x and RSS 1.0).
The main design feature behind Simple RSS is the fact it must be simple and quick to use an implement.
On the backend Simple RSS uses a TXMLDocument (which comes with Delphi/Kylix) to power itself and navigate the XML code. Internally it makes use of collections and objects to be 100% OOP compatible.
Simple RSS makes RSS easy for novices but clearly defining what are required fields and what are optional fields.
Simple RSS is licenced under the LGPL and thus can be used in freeware, open source applications as well as commercial applications royalty free (although if you would like to contribute to me, I will gladly accept it).
Also being part of the LGPL means that the source code is freely available for you to see and use.
Simple RSS is also used in a variety of commercial applications (so it is already extremely well tested) and even on my own site www.sadev.co.za (the RSS feed is powered by it).
