Transformation Manager (TM) provides a complete development environment to be used for the rapid authoring of data transforms between XML, Java and RDBMS sources and targets. TM allows the user to describe the transforms using a drag and drop paradigm and a simple, humanly readable, high-level transformation syntax “Simple Mapping Language” (SML). Once the transform has been designed and tested, TM's Java code generator will automatically build the Java transform components. This portable Java code, which performs the transforms, can be deployed in any Java 2 Virtual Machine. A switch within TM allows the user to optionally deploy the transforms as XSLT code.
Transformation Manager has the capability to create transforms by reading from multiple sources and writing to multiple targets (all of which may be of different data types). This allows TM to solve the most complex data transformation problems. For example, data read from an XML source can be transformed using the results of a lookup to a Relational database, with the transformed data being written out to a Java object. In addition, multiple targets can be used to provide powerful audit and error reporting capabilities. The latest release introduces reconciliation as a feature, with TM comparing data in source and reference models, and reporting on the differences, before performing further transformation if required.

The Trial Version is a full-featured product provided with full on-line documentation. A limited period evaluation licence is available from
